An excellent Brazilian coffee of the Yellow Bourbon variety. Its perfect extraction method is as espresso. In the cup it shows a good round body with exceptional sweetness and a pleasant balanced acidity. Notes of caramel, chocolate biscuits and hazelnut which can also be found in the aftertaste.
Fazenda Rainha (Queen Farm) in situated in the Alto Mogiana region of the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Being located exactly on the same height of the Minas Gerais, it has both the characteristic of the mountain ares of Mogiana, and those of the South of Minas.
The Fazenda Rainha is owned by the Carvalho Dias family since 1890 and has a total area of 480 hectares and 190 hectares of coffee plantation. On this farm everything is done manually since its topography does not allow any kind of machinery.
The conditions are ideal for coffee as the altitude is between 1200m and 1400m and the precipitation is between 1800 and 2000mm per year with an average temperature of 19°C. The Yellow Bourbon is the main variety of this plantation, and some of these trees are 107 years old. The beans are harvested on leaf and processed with the ‘pulped natural’ method.
This coffee has an excellent body and even became one of the finalist in the Cup of Excellence competition.
This coffee is certified as "Specialty"; it is roasted upon order and sent 3 days after to respect the correct degasing time. It is roasted in a 500gr machine, therefore there is a min. order of 2x 250gr packs to allow to roast on demand.
