A wild coffee with intense aromas of spices and dark chocolate a pleasant acidity with winey tones and a very persistent aftertaste.
The Mocca Mattari coffee we present on Caffelab is perhaps the best known in the country and is grown in the fertile and terraced lands of the Bani Mattar region to the west of the capital Yemenita Sana'a at an altitude between 1980 and 2130 mt s.l.m.
The botanical varieties that make up this lot are ancient Heirloom varieties that were imported from Ethiopia in the 6th century D.c.
Although not certified as organic, coffee Yemen Mocca Matari is grown as hundreds of years ago, without fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides created by man. All the drupes are processed using the natural method, drying the fruits on the beans until the correct degree of humidity is reached and then removing the dried skin mechanically.
